Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan has filed a complaint with the Mumbai police on Friday, against an unidentified person using an email account in his name.
Reports suggest that the person operating this account has been using it to reach out to the actor’s fans and also members of the film industry.
According to the police, Hrithik wrote in his letter that the email ID he has been using for the past several years is email@example.com. He said he interacts with fans through this account, and talks to his celebrity fans.
In his letter he also states that he is aware of the lengths fans go to for their ‘Superstar’, by writing poems, love letters, marriage proposals and sometimes even death threats. Hrithik voiced his concerns for a female fan in particular who had sent a number of pictures and videos to the email id thinking it was the actor. Taking precaution for the same, the actor doesn’t want any of the material being misused that could ‘ruin their reputation’.
In his four-page complaint sent to Commissioner of Police Rakesh Maria, Juhu police, the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell and others, the actor has requested the police to shut down firstname.lastname@example.org and also trace the fraud operating the account.
Cops are looking into the matter and hope to trace the person at the earliest.
